Well drilling is the heart of what we do across Montgomery, Frederick, Carroll, Howard, Washington and Baltimore counties. When a property needs its own water — a new home outside public service, a build lot that has to prove water before construction, or an old well that has finally given out — we drill the well, set and grout the casing, develop it until the water runs clean, and connect it to the house. Most of central Maryland sits on fractured rock, which means a well here is about finding the water-bearing fractures and casing off everything above them properly. We work with your county health department on the permit, drill to the depth the ground actually requires, and prove what the well makes before we leave. A recent well of ours came in producing around 40 gallons per minute — and every well we drill gets connected right: pressure system sized to the house, and testing to confirm the water.

A well is a permanent piece of infrastructure, and the parts that matter most are the parts you never see again. The borehole has to reach water the ground will keep supplying, the steel casing has to seal off surface water and shallow contamination, and the grout around that casing is what keeps everything above the aquifer out of your drinking water. We do each step to spec because there is no fixing a shortcut once it is buried.
After the drilling comes development — flushing and working the new well until the fines from construction are gone and it produces clear water at its honest yield. Then the well gets its cap, the pump gets set at the right depth, the trench gets dug to the house, and the water line and wiring get connected to a pressure system that fits the household. You get a working tap, not just a hole.
Building outside public water? The well usually has to exist — and prove itself — before the rest of the project moves. We drill for new construction across Montgomery, Frederick, Carroll, Howard, Washington and Baltimore counties, coordinate with your builder's schedule, and get the well drilled, tested and signed off so the project keeps moving. For existing homes, the call usually comes when an old well is failing: falling yield, sediment that will not clear, or a dry spell that finally proved the well too shallow. Sometimes hydrofracking can revive a low-producing well for far less than drilling new — and we will tell you honestly when that is worth trying first. When it is not, we drill the replacement and seal the old well properly.
Nobody can promise a depth before drilling, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does. In fractured-rock country, one property hits good water at a few hundred feet while a neighbor drills deeper for the same result — the fractures decide. What we control is everything else: a rig and crew that drill efficiently, casing and grout done to code, and straight communication about what we are finding as we go.
