About Our Company

The Whole Well, Done the Straight Way.

HydroWells is a Poolesville-based water well company working central and western Maryland. We drill new wells and revive weak ones with hydrofracking; we pull, repair and replace pumps; we set pressure systems, seal abandoned wells, inspect and test — and when the water needs help, we design the treatment off real lab results. Our own rigs, our own trucks, one number for all of it, answered 24/7.

The Whole Well Trade, One Crew

Drilling, hydrofracking, pumps, pressure tanks, testing, treatment — the rigs and the service trucks belong to the same outfit, so one call covers the whole system.

Open 24/7 for Emergencies

A house without water is an emergency, and we run the operation that way. Call day or night — phone triage is free, and if it needs a truck, a truck moves.

Straight Written Estimates

We look at the actual property, price it in writing, and tell you what is worth doing and what is not — including when hydrofracking beats drilling new. No phone guesses.

Maryland Based, Maryland Rock

Based in Poolesville, working six counties. We know what this region’s fractured rock and limestone valleys do to wells — and we drill and service for it.

What You Can Expect

How a Job With HydroWells Runs

From the first look at the property to water proven at your tap, here is exactly how it goes.

1

Look at the Property

We come see the actual situation — the well, the equipment, the water, the ground. What's failing, why, and what the fix really is. No blind quotes over the phone.

2

Straight Quote

You get a free written estimate with a real number and a real plan. It says what's included — drilling, equipment, connection, permits — and it holds unless the scope changes.

3

Do the Work

The crew shows up with the right equipment and does the job the way we quoted it — drill, frack, pull the pump, set the tank, build the treatment. Anything unexpected, you hear about it immediately, not on the invoice.

4

Prove the Water

We don't call it done until the water proves it: yield checked, pressure steady, system cycled, and testing when the job calls for it. Done means water at your tap — and you saying it's done.

FAQ

Discover Frequently Asked Questions

The questions Maryland well owners ask us most. Don't see yours? Call — you'll be talking to the people who do the work.

Call (301) 393-7090

What areas do you serve?
We're based in Poolesville and work six Maryland counties: Montgomery, Frederick, Carroll, Howard, Washington and Baltimore County. If your home or property runs on a well anywhere in that range — from the Ag Reserve to the Hereford Zone to the Hagerstown Valley — you're in our territory. Not sure? Call and ask; the answer is usually yes.
What services do you offer?
The whole well trade: well drilling, hydrofracking for low-yield wells, well pump repair and maintenance, pressure tanks and constant-pressure systems, well abandonment and sealing, well inspections, geothermal boreholes, water testing and certification, and water treatment and filtration. If it's between the aquifer and your tap, it's our work.
My house has no water. What do I do?
Call (301) 393-7090 — we're open 24/7 and a dry house is an emergency to us. Before you call, check the well pump's breaker (if it re-trips, leave it off and tell us). Phone triage is free, and a surprising number of "dead well" calls turn out to be a switch, a breaker or a tank — not a catastrophe.
Do you do residential or commercial work?
Both. Most of our schedule is residential — homes, farms and estates on private wells — plus new-construction wells for builders, and commercial and agricultural systems: barns, livestock water, irrigation feeds. Same crew, same standard either way.
How do estimates work?
They're free, and they happen at the property, not over the phone. Well work prices live in details no phone call can see — depth expectations for your area, access for the rig, the condition of your existing system — so we come look, then hand you a written number that holds unless the scope changes.
My well is weak. Do I need a whole new well?
Often not. Many low-yield and declining wells can be revived with hydrofracking — high-pressure clean water that reopens the bedrock fractures feeding your well — for far less than drilling new. We evaluate honestly, check yield before and after, and only recommend a new well when the math truly says so.
Is my well water safe to drink?
The only real answer comes from a certified lab test — and we make that easy. Annual bacteria and nitrate testing is the standard guidance for private wells; home sales and FHA/VA loans usually require testing outright. If a result flags something, we design the fix from the lab data: treatment, well repair, or both.
How do I get started?
Call (301) 393-7090 or send the form on this site — we're open 24/7 for emergencies and quick to schedule everything else. We'll talk through what's going on, come look at the actual property, and get you a free written estimate with a real plan.
